One of the themes I've picked up concerns a transformation that arises
from a simple "shift."
The first time we heard it, it was "pole shift."
The pole is a centering phenomena, and it points along its axis, that
pointing might be called its "attitude" or "perspective."
Away from what orientation and shifting to what new orientation is a
good question.
Maybe the first time we heard it was the shift from the glass being
"half full" to "half empty."
The various shifts encountered have this in common: the action of the
shift itself is easy, the implications and consequences are enormous.
If you are alert, you will find many references to "shift"-like changes.
The Institute of Noetic Sciences now has used "The Shift" as the new
title of its magazine, and regularly presents "shift" news on its web site.
Another "shift" is the move from the head to the heart.
Related to that idea is my work showing that we can easily "shift" our
experience of the relationship between us and someone else: shift back
and forth from the senses to the imagination. Using the senses, we see
the person, they are there, and we are here. Using your imagination, you
perceive the energy of the person, yet it is also interacting with your
energy, and there is more of a perception of interconnectedness.
In Streiber's 2012 there is reference to a simple shift in
consciousness, and it enables a person to be without a body, enables a
person to pass through the gateways to parallel universes.
Another thing about the "shift" motif is that it suggests that what is
coming is already part of our natural makeup, a dormant potential perhaps.
