[Consciousness] Update on Astro-Mythology

Folks of Future Consciousness

I wanted to share a bit about what's happening with regard to our study 
of future consciousness. We are in the process of creating an updated 
outline of the topics, together with the most important books for each 
topic. The links at the futureconsciousness website will then be 
restructured to reflect that updated outline.

            I find that I'm getting fairly energized on this subject, 
and have appreciated all of your support and collaboration. At the 
moment, I'm especially interested in recruiting some new book 
summarizers. I realize that most of you will assume an "audience" 
position, and that is fine. Here on this list I'll be posting changes in 
the henryreed.com/futureconsciousness website, and the website will, 
hopefully, display for the viewer some sense of order and pattern among 
the numerous topics that make up our study. Mind mapping is called for! 
Members of the list will also get my 1REED blogs, where I'm journaling 
my growth of insights into our subject matter.

I'm now adding something new. Based upon pro-actions by folks who are 
coming to our September gathering, who wish to discuss the material back 
and forth with me and one another, I'm creating a new forum and I'll be 
inviting those of you who have finished book summaries for our work to 
join with those who attended our Indiana event or are registered for our 
September gathering. Your book summaries are an invaluable contribution 
to what we are doing, an aspect of the "hive mentality," that enables us 
to see many perspectives simultaneously because of multiple inputs. 
Those of you who have completed book summaries are in a good place to 
appreciate and add to the discussions. I'll contact those of you who 
have begun summaries but not finished them to see if I can inspire you 
to finish up and join our forum.

If others of you would like to be involved in that forum, to have more 
of a back and forth conversation about our subject, then consider 
joining the ranks of those who have contributed book summaries. We'd 
select the title jointly, and then I obtain the book and send it to you.

I just received a new book and would like someone to volunteer to read 
it and summarize it. The book is /Galactic Alignment: The Transformation 
of Consciousness according to Mayan, Egyptian, and Vedic Traditions 
<http://tinyurl.com/yv6fvj>. /The author, John Major Jenkins, also wrote 
Maya Cosmogenesis 2012: The True Meaning of the Maya Calendar End-Date 
<http://tinyurl.com/2gwh4w>. Although I'd like to get someone to 
summarize his /Maya Cosmo/ book, his latest one is even more important 
because he shows that what is true for the Mayan prophetic tradition is 
also true for the Egyptian and Vedic---that they were aware of the 
galactic center and treated it as an "end of an age" marker. This book 
takes the weight off the Mayan calendar to be the main focus---do or 
die---concerning the astro-mythical pattern relating to upcoming events.

So, looking for some volunteers. If you'd be willing to summarize a 
book, but are not interested in these titles, let me know and we'll find 
something just right for you!
